New Tour Welcomes New Announcer

Watertown (SD) - The Dirt Tour is pleased to announce that Larry Nelson of West Fargo, ND is the 2013 Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler Tour Announcer.

Larry has been an avid race fan and addict of dirt racing in the upper Midwest for years. Mr. Nelson is a radio DJ and Host of a racing talk show on WDAY-am out of Fargo ND called Hot Laps. (2013 shows start May 4th) In recent years Larry has announced at Sheyenne River Speedway, snowmobile races, mud drags, tractor pulls and also has filled in at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND.

Larry Nelson has great respect for the Racers, Crews and Promoters across the area on how they bring great excitement to the race fan. The new tour announcer is looking forward to meeting new people along the Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler!!!!

2013 Schedule Released: Bigger & Better

Watertown (SD) - The 2013 race season is coming upon us!!!! The third year for the Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler is better than the last two. Race fans and drivers will see five new tracks on the tour, along with the seven tracks that have had races in the first two years of the tour.We are very excited to go to new venues and see new racers and race fans along the way. The Dirt Tour LLC owes a lot of thanks to Ryan Aho, Rusty Kollman, Scott Bintz, and Ryan Mikkelson for helping put things together with these new race tracks.

The 2013 Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler will once again be kicked off Memorial Day weekend May 23th –May 26th with one new facility hosting an event. The tour will kick off on Thursday May 23th at the 3/8 mile Semi-Banked Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. The tour will then travel south to the high banked 3/8 mile Dick Johanneck, owned I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN on the 24th of May. Saturday’s tour event takes us to the first of the five new tracks in Jamestown, ND on the big 1/4 mile Jamestown Speedway promoted by Wissota board member Joanne Dieterle on the 25th of May. The tour concludes the Memorial Madness Swing weekend with a $3,000 to win $400 to start event, at the Famed Casino Speedway on May 26th in Watertown, South Dakota.

June is a month that the tour has never raced in previous years until now!!! The 2013 Minnesota Melee Swing takes drivers and fans to three new race tracks. To start the swing off is Ogilvie Raceway with their first of two events in 2013 on June 19th. On Thursday June 20th the tour heads north up amongst the pine trees to Tom Clusiau Grand Rapids Speedway for their first ever $1,500.00 to win show. Friday on the Minnesota Melee Swing moves racers to Superior, WI at Amsoil Speedway for 40 laps of excitement. Hibbing Raceway is the last of the three new race tracks of the four nights on the Minnesota Melee Swing. All four of these, $1,500.00 TO WIN $200.00 to start events WILL BE THE NEW 24 CAR FIELD A-MAINS!!!!! Thanks goes out to Ryan Aho for putting all of this together. July should bring race fans and drivers four shows. KRA Speedway in Willmar, MN comes on board as our 5th new track in 2013 with their show pending yet but all intentions show July 18th will be their first ever Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler show. Brown County Speedway will host their lone tour event on Friday the 19th of July. It is always a pleasure working with Nick Guthmiller and his folks in Aberdeen, SD. Saturday’s tour event takes the racers and fans to Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD home of the Wissota 100 for a 30 lap A-feature on the semi banked super big 3/8 (small 1/2)mile track on the 20th. Then on Sunday finishing up the Hot Summer Nights Swing of the 2013 tour, is a 2nd trip to Casino Speedway for a std. $1,500.00 to win $200.00 to start 40 lap A-Main.

This year’s, August swing brings us three races!!! Night one of the August Ambush Swing brings the tour back to Ogilvie Raceway on Thursday August 8th. Night two of the swing takes the drivers and fans to Montevideo, MN for a 30 lap $1,500 to win $200 to start race at Fiesta City Speedway on the 9th sponsored by once again in 2013 Kibble Equipment. Madison Speedway will conclude the August Ambush Swing on the 10th sponsored by Winfield solutions. Second Annual Awards Banquet Held

Lake Norden (SD) - The Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford and Chrysler held their second award celebration on November 3, 2012. The scrumptious banquet was prepared by the Bull Pen and served in the Community Center in Lake Norden.

The 2012 season involved 132 drivers competing at 13 events held
at 9 different race tracks, with 8 different winners in the D&E Trophies
Victory Lane. Ten out of the 132 drivers had perfect attendance sharing $5,000 provided by Lube-Tech Lubrication Technologies. Splitting over $19,000 in point fund money were eleven drivers who attended 11 out of the 13 shows. The top 20 drivers in points shared over $28,000 in contingency awards; the total of contingencies and cash awarded was $46,700.

Andy Gordon, #21, was the tour winner by 31 points, having raced against 132 drivers throughout the season; he was presented a replica of his #21 mod by Bart’s Parts in addition to the awards below.

The top five drivers received hoodies and hats from Bullet Sports Wear, together with checks and contingencies: Andy Gordon, Dave Mass, there was a tie for 3rd between Mike Stearns and Curt Myers, with Scott Ward placing 5th. Placing 6th through 10th were Matt Gilbertson, Jordan Foster, Ryan Aho, Dave Cain and Reed Storley, who also finished 8th in money. Earning 11th through 20th place were Ryan Engles (9th in the money), Jason Grimes, Trevor Anderson (10th in the money), Dan Ebert, Todd Stark, Kent Arment, Nate Heinrich, Jay Triplett (11th in the money plus $1,200 for attending the required number of races), Scott Hansen, and Scot Danzeisen.

The Allstar Performance Hard Charger Award is awarded to the driver passing the greatest number of cars in each tour race. In 2012 Dave Cain passed 43 cars, Curt Myers passed 33 cars and Mike Stearns passed 32 cars.

The Crew Chief of the race is awarded each tour to the outstanding Crew Chief. This season the first place award was awarded to Andy Gordon Racing–Adrian Gordon, followed by Stearns Motorsports–Rollie Stearns, and Ward Racing–Morgan Ward.

“Cuz Diamonds are Better than Trophies”, Riddles Jewelry presented the woman beside the Champion of the tour, Brooke Gordon, and the woman beside the Crew Chief, Charlene Gordon, gift certificates for diamonds.

This year’s recipient of the Oscar’s Machine award was awarded to Adrian Gordon as a person who goes above and beyond what is expected of them competing in or helping with the tour.

Watertown (SD) - The Battle on the Prairie continued as the Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler was in Watertown, SD, for the second night of a double header. There were 32 mods set to do battle for $3,000 on Sunday, September 9th, 2012. Kent Arment won the 60 lap event from 6th starting position followed by Andy Gordon, and Ryan Aho earning third from an 8th place start.

Andy Gordon won the 2012 Advantage RV Modified tour championship by 31 points over Dave Mass with Curt Myers & Mike Stearns tying for 3rd place another point back.

Three drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining 8 coming through 2 B Mains. The twelve drivers from the heat races redrew for starting position: Myers, Ward, Gordon, Bliese, Mass, Arment, Dutenhoffer, Aho, Stearns, Engels, Hansen and Grimes.

Performance Bodies sponsored the first 12 lap heat race with the win going to Curt Myers from the pole, followed by Brent Dutenhoffer and Andy Gordon. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products saw Ryan Engles, Jason Grimes and Mike Stearns completing the transfer to the main. Speedway Motors was the sponsor for heat 3, in which Dave Mass took the win followed by Scott Ward from 8th and Ryan Aho from 4th. The final heat went to Kent Arment, Scott Hansen and Kevin Bliese. The sponsor for the 4th heat was Keyser's Port City Racing.

There were 30 mods set to do battle for $3,000. The 60 lap main event was won by Dave Mass from the pole followed by Kent Arment coming from 8th and 3rd going to Jason Grimes. Arment Dominates On Home Track

Aberdeen (SD) - Friday, September 7th, 2012, saw the Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler in Aberdeen, SD, for the Battle on the Prairie with 38 modifieds ready to do battle. The main event was won by Kent Arment followed by Andy Gordon and Curt Myers.

Three drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining 8 coming through 2 B Mains. The twelve drivers from the heat races redrew for starting position: Kent Arment, Andy Gordon, Mike Stearns, Todd Stark, Scott Ward, Curt Myers, Jordan Foster, Jason Grimes, Eric Edwards, Terry Haven, Travis Cantwell and Chaun Peterson. Previous hot laps were sponsored by SpectraMX.

In the first 12 lap heat race sponsored by Performance Bodies, Chaun Peterson nabbed the lead, followed by Todd Stark and Scott Ward. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products had Andy Gordon take the win from 5th, followed by Mike Stearns from 9th and Jordan Foster from 6th. Speedway Motors was the sponsor for heat 3, where Kent Arment held the lead from the pole, followed by Curt Myers, and Eric Edwards. The final heat was plagued with casualties when Tyler McDonald, Duane Zabel, Dale Ames and Tom Foster were involved in a red flag incident with McDonald and Zabel unable to finish. The three cars headed to the main event were Jason Grimes, Travis Cantwell and Terry Haven. This heat was sponsored by Keyser's Port City Racing.

In the first B Feature sponsored by Real Racing Wheels, Dave Mass took the win from 9th, followed by Randy Tarno, David Orr and Brent Dutenhoffer. The second B Feature with 5 yellows and 5 cars not being able to finish, saw Ryan Mikkelson victorious from 11th, Dale Ames, Duane Zabel and Reed Storley headed to the main.

Kent Arment led the entire 30 laps. At half way it was Arment, Gordon and Grimes holding the top 3 places. The track had one dominant grove with position changes coming from attrition and fading.

Race time is 7:30 p.m. at Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, SD) with support classes; Late Models, Super Stocks, Street Stocks & Pure Stocks. The start time is 5:00 p.m. both nights at Casino Speedway with support classes; Late Models (Sunday Only), Midwest Modifieds & Street Stocks. The Mighty Axe Nationals is one of the most prestigious races to win in all of Wissota and an annual "can't miss event" for every dirt track race fan in the Upper Midwest.

The Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler ‘Race for the Axe Swing’, September 1 & 2 will be full of great modified racing action just like all race fans seen on the Minnesota Melee Swing of the tour back in early August. Two 40 lap features will be run for $1,500 to win and $200 to start at the Mighty Axe Nationals.

Fans: On the 1st night of the swing one luck fan will go home with jewelry from Riddles Jewelry and on the 2nd night of the Mighty Axe Nationals a fan will go home with a RC Tour Car courtesy of Bart’s Parts RC Cars (The RC Car is a replica of Point Leader #21 Andy Gordon's Modified)!!! We will once again as always on the tour have the Bullet Sportswear Fan Challenge, where one lucky fan will possibly win $100 from Bullet Sportswear.

Cain Grabs Third Tour Feature Win

Ogilvie (MN) - The Minnesota Melee Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler continued at Ogilvie Speedway, Ogilvie, MN on August 11th, 2012, with 30 cars ready race. The main event was won by Dave Cain followed by Joey Jensen, and Scot Danzeisen. The previous hot laps were sponsored by SpectraMX.

Three drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining coming through 2 B mains. In the first heat race sponsored by Schoenfeld Headers, Danny Staff, Scott Ward from 6th, and Dan Ebert headed to the feature race. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products saw Eric Martini, Clayton Wagamon and John Johnson completing the transfer to the main. R2C was the sponsor for heat 3, with Joey Jensen, Erik Peterson and Scot Danzeisen headed to the feature. The 4th heat went to Dave Cain who started last but had the lead by the second lap, Curt Myers, and Matt Gilbertson with the sponsor being Keyser’s Port City.

The 2 B Mains, both sponsored by Real Racing Wheels, took the four top drivers for the main event, with 9 cars starting each B Main. The first B Main had Dave Mass, JB Stortz, Dustin Nelson and Dan Wheeler earning a spot in the main event. B Main 2 allowed Andy Gordon, Keith Tourville, Mike Stearns and Reed Storley to join the upcoming feature.

The redraw for the top 12 drivers saw Wagamon on the pole, followed by Cain, Eric Martini, Ward, Ebert, Danzeisen, Jensen, Staff, Peterson, Myers, Johnson, and Gilbertson.

The 30 lap feature saw Cain take the lead and hold it throughout the race. Wagamon gave up second to Martini at lap 6, but Martini was overtaken by Danzeisen at lap 25. By half way it was Cain, Martini, Danzeisen, Jensen and Wagamon.

Gilbertson Defends Home Turf

Montevideo (MN) - Friday, August 10th, 2012, saw the Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler in Montevideo, MN, for the Minnesota Melee with 22 mods set to do battle. The main event was won by Matt Gilbertson followed by Dave Cain coming from 11th, and third going to Curt Myers. The 22 mods in attendance had a track that was very fast with multiple grooves, and the racing was nothing short of fantastic. Previous hot laps were sponsored by SpectraMX.

Three drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining 8 coming through a B Main. The twelve drivers from the heat races redrew for starting position. Zach Schultz drew the pole followed by Gilbertson, Myers, Braun, Ebert, Stearns, Canon, Gordon, Triplett, Ward, Cain and Mass.

In first heat race sponsored by Performance Bodies, Mike Stearns started outside pole and finished first by ¼ track, followed by Ryan Canon and Phil Braun. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products was taken by Dave Cain from 4th, with Scott Ward and Matt Gilbertson completing the transfer to the main. Speedway Motors was the sponsor for heat 3, with Andy Gordon taking the lead from the outside pole, followed Dan Ebert and Jay Triplett. The final heat went to Curt Myers, Dave Mass and Zach Schultz, with the sponsor being Keyser's Port City Racing.

In the B Feature sponsored by Real Racing Wheels, Brandon Nelson, Nate Heinrich, Aaron Olson and Chris Prussman transferred to the main event.

Matt Gilbertson led the entire 30 laps of the main event. At half way it was Gilbertson, Curt Myers and Dan Ebert holding the top 3 places. Dave Cain ran all over the track coming through the field high, low, and down the middle to come from 11th to 2nd.

Cain Doubles Down at Madison Speedway

Madison (MN) - The second leg of the Hot Summer Nights Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler was held at Madison Speedway in Madison, MN on July 14, 2012. There were 26 modifieds ready race in the intense heat and humidity. The victory belonged to Dave Cain followed by Zach Schultz, Dave Mass and Matt Gilbertson. Hot laps were sponsored by Spectra MX.

Three drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining coming through B mains. In the first heat race sponsored by Schoenfeld Headers, Andy Gordon started 3rd and finished 1st followed by Zach Schultz and Scott Hansen. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products saw Scott Ward from a 5th place start, Dave Mass and Matt Gilbertson from 7th completing the transfer to the main. R2C was the sponsor for heat 3, with Mike Stearns taking the win, followed by Jordan Foster and Ryan Aho. The 4th heat went to Curt Myers, followed by Dave Cain and Reed Storley with the sponsor being Keyser’s Port City.

The B Feature, sponsored by Real Racing Wheels, took 8 drivers for the main event, with 14 cars starting the B Main.  Yellow flags removed 3 contenders from the race, allowing Heinrich, Cantwell, Storck, Stark, Anderson, Braun, Tofte, and Engels to transfer to the main event.

The redraw for the top 12 drivers saw Ward on the pole, followed by Schultz, Gilbertson, Stearns, Storley, Hansen, Myers, Foster, Cain, Mass, Aho and Gordon. The 40 lap feature offered $1,400 to the 4th place starter (Stearns) if he won the race, but he placed 5th.

After a slow start to the feature, Ward flew from the pole and held the lead, while Schultz stayed close until a flat tire for Ward on lap 26 sent him to the rear of the field.  Schultz then took the lead followed by Gilbertson as a steady and consistent Cain came up from 9th.  Suddenly, Cain and Mass came upon a 3rd place Stearns and flew by him while fighting for 3rd. The leader for the past 12 laps was passed by Cain on the white flag lap and took the win by inches over Schultz.  Ward finished 8th after passing some hard hitters following the tire incident.

At lap 20, half way through the race, it was Schultz, Gilbertson, Mass, Cain, and Stearns. Of the 20 cars starting the feature, 15 finished. The next Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler will take place in Montevideo, MN at Fiesta City Speedway on August 10th, 2012 during the Minnesota Melee.

The 40 lap feature saw numerous yellows during the first 14 laps. Gordon lost the lead to Stearns on the second lap, and Stearns led until the lead was taken by Cain in lap 25. By half way it was Cain, Stearns, Mass, Arment and Gordon. The race was fast and furious, and studded with the top names in modified racing. Of the 20 cars starting the feature, 15 finished.

It's Hot Summer Night Mods Time!!

Watertown (SD) - Racers and Race Fans it’s time for the Hot Summer Nights Swing of the Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler!!!! July 13th Brown County Speedway, and July 14th Madison Speedway along with the Watertown Ford Chrysler Car Show from 10am to 2pm on the 14th!!!!!!! All Racers from Aberdeen should be in attendance at the car show located at the Watertown Ford Chrysler lot on Saturday. Each racer that racesat Brown County Speedway on Friday and then attends the car show along with racing at Madison Speedway will receive a $100.00 fuel card from Scott Driscoll and the Watertown Ford Chrysler Staff!!!!!

This swing will be just as exciting as the Memorial Mod Madness Swing where 100 different drivers competed at three of the four scheduled events back in May. Leading the charge into the Hot Summer nights swing is #21 The Murdock Missile Andy Gordon, followed by Hibbing, MN #71A Ryan Aho, and 3rd in points Superman #24s Mike Stearns of Hecla, SD. The main event was won by Dave Mass, with Andy Gordon taking second and Travis Sauer pulling third. Hot laps were sponsored by Spectra MX.

Three drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining coming through B mains. In the first heat race sponsored by Schoenfeld Headers, Kent Arment came from 9th to grab the win, followed by Todd Stark, and Ryan Aho. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products saw Andy Gordon, Scott Hansen, and Dave Cain from 9th, completing the transfer to the main. B Main 1 was plagued with yellow flags and 10 cars did not finishing the race; however, Travis Sauer, Curt Myers, Chris Prussman and Arne Anderson escaped the carnage and earned a spot in the main event. B Main 2 had 8 cars complete the race with Aaron Holtan, Chad Becker, Mike Stearns and Dan Ebert headed to the main.

The top 12 drivers from the heats drew for starting positions in the main, giving Dave Mass the pole followed by Todd Stark, DJ Tesch, Matt Steen, Matt Gilbertson, Andy Gordon, Jason Voigt, Nate Heinrich, Scott Hansen, Ryan Aho, Dave Cain, and Kent Arment.

The 60 lap feature saw Dave Mass and Todd Stark in the front row; by half way it was Mass, Sauer, Gordon, Stark and Cain holding the top 5 positions. The yellow flag did damage to the lineup as the race progressed, taking Arment out with a flat after 23 laps, Stark out at 27 laps completed; Becker, Ebert and Anderson were also eliminated as the race continued.

Fergus Falls (MN) - The second leg of the Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler was held at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN. Modifieds were out in full force, with 56 cars ready hot lap sponsored by Spectra MX. The main event was won by Cody Skytland who started 12th and passed for the win off of turn four followed by Dave Cain who started 17th and took the lead from Skytland coming to the white flag followed by Jason Grimes in third. It was checkers or wreckers for Skytland going into turns three and four race fans.

Two drivers advanced from each heat race, with the remaining coming through B mains. In the first heat race sponsored by Schoenfeld Headers, Danny Bayer came from 4th, followed by Ward Imrie and Ryan Mikkelson. R2C was the sponsor for heat 3, with Cody Skytland taking the win from the outside pole followed by Jordan Foster and Nate Heinrich. The 4th heat went to Jason Grimes, followed by Mike Stearns and Matt Weisman with the sponsor being Keyser’s Port City. Lou Fegers Racing sponsored heat 5, which Aho winning from the outside pole, with Jason Thoennes in second and Brady Gerdes third. The final heat was sponsored by Wehrs Machine saw Curt Myers grab the win from the 4th start position, followed by John Corell then Scott Bintz coming to 3rd from 8th.

The 2 B Mains, both sponsored by Real Racing Wheels, took the four top drivers for the main event, with 22 cars starting each B Main. B Main 1 had 12 cars finishing, with Andy Gordon, Ryan Mikkelson, Brady Gerdes and Blake Jegtvig earning a spot in the main event. B Main 2 had 8 cars complete the race with Nate Heinrich, Scott Bintz, Dave Cain, and Rich Pavlicek headed to the main.

The 40 lap feature saw Bayer and Corell on the pole; by half way it was Thoennes, Skytland, Corell and Grimes. Of the 20 cars starting the feature, 12 completed it due to numerous cautions. At lap 20 it was Skytland, Thoennes, Cain, Corell and Grimes holding the top 5 positions.

Thoennes wins Mod Tour Opener

Ada (MN) - It was a great night for racing at Norman County Raceway on Thursday, May 24, 2012, when the Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler came to race, starting the Memorial Mod Madness segment of the summer’s schedule. Modifieds were out in full force, with 51 cars ready to battle. The main event was won by Jason Thoennes followed by Andy Gordon and Dave Mass for second and third place. Hot laps were sponsored by Spectra MX.

In the first heat race sponsored by Schoenfeld Headers, John Corell lead from the pole, followed by Travis Sauer and Andy Gordon. The second heat sponsored by AFCO Racing Products was taken by Jason Grimes from the pole, with Josh Eberhardt and Mark Trautner completing the transfer to the main. R2C was the sponsor for heat 3, with Jason Thoennes taking the win from the outside pole followed by Dano Ostrander and Dustin Strand coming from 9th. The final heat went to Blake Jegtvig, Matt Gilbertson and Dave Mass, with the sponsor being Keyser’s Port City. The redraw put Gordon on the pole with Thoennes, Eberhardt, Mass, Corell, Ostrander, Gilbertson, Sauer, Grimes, Trautner, Jegtvig and Strand.

The 2 B Mains, both sponsored by Real Racing Wheels, took the four top drivers for the main event. Cody Skytland, Mike Stearns, Alex Engelstad and Austin Arneson transferred from the first B, with Ryan Aho, Curt Myers, Scott Ward and Ryan Mikkelson advancing from the second B. Let's Get This 2012 Party Started!

Watertown (SD) - The 2012 race season is coming upon us!!!! The Second year for the Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler is coming together very well. Race fans and drivers will see a few new tracks and sponsors participating in 2012!!!

The 2012 Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler will once again be kicked off Memorial Day weekend May 24th –May 27th with two new facilities hosting events. The tour will kick off on Thursday May 24th at the 3/8 mile Semi-Banked Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. The tour will then travel south to the high banked 3/8 mile Dick Johanneck, owned I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN on the 25th of May. Saturday’s tour event takes the racers and fans to Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD home of the Wissota 100 for a 30 lap A-feature on the semi banked super big 3/8 (small 1/2)mile track. The tour concludes the Memorial Mod Madness Swing weekend with a $3,000 to win $400 to start event, at the Famed Casino Speedway on May 27th in Watertown, South Dakota.

July so far brings race fans and drivers two shows. Brown County Speedway will host their first of two tour dates on Friday the 13th of July. The Drivers Track!!! Madison Speedway will conclude the Hot Summer Nights Swing on the 14th sponsored by Winfield Solutions.

This year’s August Minnesota Melee Swing, brings us two maybe three new race tracks!!! Night one brings the tour to Montevideo, MN for a 30 lap $1,500 to win $200 to start race at Fiesta City Speedway on the 10th. Night two of the swing takes us to the high banked clay oval at Ogilvie Raceway Ogilvie, MN. Night three is pending yet on the 12th of August at the newly reopened Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, MN. Labor Day weekend on the tour brings us to the Race for the Axe Swing at the Mighty Axe Nationals in north central Minnesota at Cliff Sasker’s North Central Speedway in Brainerd. The road warriors of the Advantage RV Modified Tour Presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler will run for the coveted Golden Axe on Saturday & Sunday the 1st & 2nd.

The Women of the Tour each received a gift certificate from Riddle’s Jewelry “Cuz Diamonds are better than trophies”. Certificates went to Misty Prussman, the wife of the Allstar Performance Hard Charger, to Kelli Haessig, wife of the Intercomp Crew Chief, and to the Champion’s wife, Trish Arment.

The Battle on the Prairie Swing concludes the 2012 tour, with the second stop at Aberdeen, South Dakota’s Brown County Speedway on Friday September 7th. Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD will once again host the final two races with each night paying $3,000 to win and $400 to start races on the 8th & 9th!!!! Stay tuned race fans on the number of laps that will be ran in the feature races at Casino Speedway tour events in 2012 especially at the finals.
